European Masters Automotive in Great Neck New York In the beginning of September 2011 I was looking for a 2007 Camry in my home State of Connecticut, but was unable to get the car due to my poor credit. After being turned down from several dealers because I did not have a cosigner I ended up coming across a ad on craigslist. They had a 2009 Toyota Camry for a low price and the ad read "We finance low credit & bad credit" so I called them immediately and was connected to a sales man name Omar. I went back down to the dealership a few days later to have the car fixed, than I went back home to Connecticut. The next day the car started acting up again so I called the to let them know  Great Neck, New York

In the beginning of September 2011 I was looking for a 2007 Camry in my home State of Connecticut, but was unable to get the car due to my poor credit. After being turned down from several dealers because I did not have a cosigner I ended up coming across a ad on craigslist. They had a 2009 Toyota Camry for a low price and the ad read "We finance low credit & bad credit" so I called them immediately and was connected to a sales man name Omar. I explained my situation to Omar. I told him I wanted a Camry, I had a low Credit score, and I was willing to put 3,000 or more down. He told me they had a 2009 Camry and all I had to do was give him my social Security number so he can run a credit check. I gave my Social Security number to Omar over the phone and he said he would call me back with an answer once he was done checking my credit.

He called me the next day saying I was approved for the Camry but I would have to put $5,000 down! I was so happy to hear I was approved because I've been hearing no everywhere else. And I was even more happy that I had the money to put down on the car because in August of 2011 I received a check for my late father after his death. I told Omar I could put the $5,000. He told me I could come to the dealership Masterz Automotive to pick up my car that same day. I told him I would have to wait until the check cleared and I would come down which was in a matter of days. He said it was okay and he would hold the car for me. I called Omar a day before the the check cleared and he said the car was still there waiting for me! The next day I withdrew $3000 out of my account from the Bloomfield branch than $2000 from the East Hartford branch. I had to go to two separate banks because they allowed only a certain amount to be withdrawn at once. I called and spoke to Omar and told him I was on my way. When I got to Masterz automotive in Great Neck New York. Omar was nowhere to be found.

I waited for about an hour than another sales man told me he would be the one taking care of me today because Omar was busy with another customer. The salesman walk me to the back where they had a bunch of cars parked I was asking him to show me the 09 Camry and he told me he couldn't find it. Then he told me he thinks it's getting detailed. He took me in his office to do another credit check. I asked him why was he doing a credit check again? Because I was already approved. He said it was just standard procedure because he was going to work with me instead of Omar due to the fact that on my was busy with another customer. After he finished running my credit he had me and my daughter sit outside in the lobby for over 2 hours. Within that time frame I heard someone say Omar's name I said hello to him and I asked him were the Camry was and he told me I would have to talk to my sales man because I was no longer his customer. The salesman who started working with me finally came back and told me my car will be on its way it was getting detailed. Another three hours past still no car my daughter started getting hungry and was crying I asked him if there was a nearby restaurant and they told me yes so we went there to eat. I came back about a half an hour later and the car still wasn't there.

About an hour after that a man from finance and my sales man told me I could sign the paperwork for the bank now because the car was on its way. I went into the finance man's office and and he had the papers out on his desk. I told him I had a learning disability and had some trouble reading. He said that was fine and basically explained to me that my payments would be $329.29 a month so I signed the paperwork and gave $5,000 cash. He left the room for a little while by the time he came back my daughter was fast asleep. The finance man told me they had a problem. He said the bank wanted more money down and I than told him I didn't have anymore money to put down. I was so confused and upset. He told me to hold on he left for almost 30 minutes, then he came back and told me I couldn't get the Camry right now I would have to get another car I asked him what kind of car would that be? He said they had a white 2007 Altima and they were getting it cleaned up and ready for me now. I was so upset because I thought I was going to get my dream car the Camry, to find out they weren't going to give it to me I told him I didn't want it. He told me to come out and look at it first. So I walked outside with him.

From afar the car looked good but as I got closer the car have scratches and dents on it, The interior was light tan cloth seats which was dirty with brown stains here and there and cigarette burns on the seats and ceiling of the car. I told him I was not going to take her car it wasn't even worth the $5,000 I put down. Him told me "he could not give me back my $5,000 because I already signed the papers. I told him "No I signed the papers for the Camry not for this". Than he said It's all the same thing. He told me there was no way I can get my money back but I wouldn't have to keep this car for long, he said I will only have to drive this car for three months then I'll be able to get the Camry. He told me they would use the $5000 I put down along with the three months of payments towards the Camry and I was just building my credit with the bank. I remembered crying so hard as I held my heavy 3 year old daughter. I had to actually sit down. He told me I had nothing to worry about because in three months I will be able to get the car I wanted. So I said okay. he didn't give me any other papers to sign besides the papers for the license plate. Which was license plates for the state of Maine not Connecticut. I asked him why was I getting Maine plates when I live in Connecticut and he said they give me the name plates until I get my Camry. He had me call the insurance company to ensure the car. Than they gave me the car keys.

When I was getting ready to leave the front driver door would not close so one of the mechanics fixed it so close and then I went back to Connecticut. The next day I went to start up the car but the car kept stalling. My neighbor gave me a jumpstart to start the car. I called the dealership to let them know the car was acting up. They told me to come down and they would fix the car. I want to AutoZone that some day and bought seat covers for the seats and mets because the car didn't have any. I went back down to the dealership a few days later to have the car fixed, than I went back home to Connecticut. The next day the car started acting up again so I called the to let them
